Dr. Brian Joseph LeBlanc and Jenna Elaine Guidry reigned as king and queen of the 80th annual New Roads Lions Club Mardi Gras parade on Tuesday.
LeBlanc received his bachelor of science degree from the University of Southwestern Louisiana and his medical doctorate degree from LSU School of Medicine in Shreveport, followed by residency and specialty degree of family medicine in Lafayette through LSU School of Medicine, New Orleans. He is a board-certified family medicine physician who has been employed by the Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady Health System in New Roads for 25 years.
The king, a 25-year member of the New Roads Lions Club, is married to Jodie Bonnette LeBlanc. He is the father of three children: Bethany, Whitney and the late William LeBlanc.
Guidry graduated summa cum laude from LSU in May 2023 with a bachelor of science in marketing. She is pursuing her master of business administration degree through LSU’s Flores MBA Program and will graduate in August.
The queen is the daughter of Lion Tommy Guidry, the 2013 Lions Club president, and his wife, Paula Bonaventure Guidry, as well as the sister of Jacob Guidry.
Serving as dukes and duchesses for this year's parade were Matthew Christian Beatty, Kate Elizabeth Bonaventure, Camille Elizabeth Cazayoux, Cameron Christopher Devillier, Jackson Tyler Jewell, Connor Matthew Kimball and Carter Warren Walker.
