The West Feliciana High LifeSmarts team won seventh place at the National LifeSmarts Competition in San Diego, California.

Chloe Doiron and Parker Bennett each won a $1,000 scholarship for essays they submitted at the competition.

Out of 47 teams competing, Bennett placed third in Consumer Rights and Responsibilities and Julian Lovell placed fifth in Health and Safety

The team included Captain Parker Bennett, Julian Lovell, Chloe Doiron, Jules Gresham and Brayden Jarrell, and head coach Leneeta Ewing and assistant coach Ashley Doiron
