East Baton Rouge Parish sheriff’s deputies say this car, a dark colored BMW, hit a 71-year-old woman on Burbank Drive Friday evening while headed east to Bluebonnet Boulevard. Deputies are looking this car and another vehicle that hit Ethel Wesley and killed her.

East Baton Rouge Parish sheriff's deputies are looking for a BMW and another vehicle believed to be involved in a Friday night hit-and-run that killed a 71-year-old woman.

Ethel Wesley was hit in the 10400 block of Burbank Drive shortly before 7:19 p.m. Friday after she had crossed the westbound lanes of the road on foot, sheriff's deputies said in a statement.

Headed eastbound toward Bluebonnet Boulevard, one vehicle and then another hit her. Neither stopped to help her or called emergency personnel about the collision, deputies said.

Wesley was taken to an area hospital but later died from her injuries, deputies said.

One car is believed to be a dark-colored 2009-2011 BMW, deputies said. They did not identify the make or model of the other vehicle.
