Blazin’ Hot Chicken, which has two locations in the Lake Charles area, will open a Lafayette location close to the University of Louisiana at Lafayette campus, the restaurant announced.
The location will be connected to the Chevron gas station at 1011 E. University Ave., the owners confirmed, and could open by the end of May. The fast-casual eatery specializes in Nashville hot chicken and others items and is part of an expansion effort that will later include locations in Baton Rouge and New Orleans.
Blazin’ Hot Chicken has locations in Lake Charles and Westlake and offers six spice levels to allow customers to choose their own level of heat, one listing reported.
The business was started by three friends who attended at McNeese State University, and the first location opened last year.
