St. Joseph Cathedral, 401 Main St., is hosting a ladies' tea at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 24. The theme is "Unwrapping God's Gift in Your Life."
This event, which is open to the public, is an opportunity for women to nurture their faith with their relatives, friends and neighbors. Attendees will enjoy tea, wine, traditional fare and hear a talk by Baton Rouge inspirational speaker Jean Gatz.
Tables for six participants each are available at $50 per table. Reservations can be made by calling the cathedral office at (225) 387-5928. Change of worship venue
Because of recent weather-related issues, until further notice, the Berean and Faith Seventh-day Adventist churches are worshiping at the Martin Luther King Jr. Christian Academy, 4295 Prescott Court.
Sabbath School lesson study is at 9:30 a.m. Saturday with divine worship following at 11 a.m.
Signup for deacon, usher course
St. John Baptist Church, 820 New Rafe Mayer Road, will register participants for a 12-week deacon and usher training course starting at 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 10.
