
Mary Poppins
Tickets are on sale for Christian Youth Theatre Baton Rouge's production of "Mary Poppins," opening Thursday, May 23, at the Shaver Theatre in the LSU Music and Dramatic Arts Building on Dalrymple Drive. At the Music Club
The Music Club of Baton Rouge will host the program "Jazz, America's Classical Music," featuring Bill Grimes on piano, Molly Redfield on bass and Doug Stone on saxophone at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 14, in the First United Methodist Church Conference Center, 930 North Blvd.

Choir camp
Registration is open for the Greater Baton Rouge Children's Choir's Forte Fun Choir Camp Taking from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Monday, July 8, to Friday, July 12, at First Baptist Church of Baton Rouge, 529 Convention St. During the camp, participants will engage in a variety of activities including vocal pedagogy, technique, rhythm skills, basic musicianship, musical theater pieces, bell ringing and instrument playing.

The Southeastern Louisiana University Contemporary Art Gallery is showing its spring Senior Exhibition 2024, featuring artworks created by graduating students in the Department of Visual Art + Design through May 11.

The tour will be followed by a screening of the documentary "The Waiting," with a panel discussion from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. NUNU also will host a closing celebration for the exhibit from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday, May 10, featuring music by Trendafilka and The Babineaux Sisters. A cash bar and food will be available. Finally, the collective will host another gallery tour from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Sunday, May 19.
In Opelousas
The Opelousas Museum & Interpretive Center, 315 N. Main St., Opelousas, will host a Civil War presentation by Kallie Johnston, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, May 18.
Johnston has served as an intern at the museum for several months documenting Civil War soldiers and museum artifacts from that period.
