A Denham Springs teen was arrested last week on multiple counts of indecent behavior with a juvenile and possession of child pornography, the Livingston Parish Sheriff's Office said in a Facebook post Wednesday.
According to the post, the Wolcott County Police Department in Connecticut contacted the Sheriff's Office in April about an incident involving indecent behavior with a juvenile and a suspect believed to be in Livingston Parish.
Glenn Walter, 18, was identified as the suspect, the Sheriff's Office said.
"Upon further investigation, it was learned [Walter] was extorting child pornography from children ages 12-13 years old on social media," the Sheriff's Office said. "The victims in this case span 7 other states with a total of 10 child victims — ages 12 years old to 13 years old."
Walter was arrested Tuesday, April 23, without incident, the Sheriff's Office said.
Walter was booked into the Livingston Parish Detention Center on four counts of indecent behavior with a juvenile (one victim under 13 years of age), three counts of computer aided solicitation of a minor (one victim under 13 years of age), seven counts of possession of pornography involving juveniles (one victim under 13 years of age) and a count of possession of child pornography involving juveniles (extortion).
The investigation is ongoing.
