LSU baseball is going for its first sweep in Southeastern Conference play this weekend after winning the opening two games of its three game series against Texas A&M.
The Tigers won 6-4 on Friday and Saturday over the No. 1 team in the nation, greatly boosting their odds of making the NCAA Tournament with only eight games left to play in the regular season.
LSU's win on Saturday also clinched its third consecutive series victory after it had lost its opening five series in SEC play.

WHAT TO WATCH FOR: LSU left-handed pitcher Nate Ackenhausen will be a game time decision to pitch on Sunday, coach Jay Johnson said after Saturday's win. Ackenhausen suffered a hamstring strain last Saturday and has started for the Tigers twice in SEC play. He's allowed just four earned runs in his last 9⅓ innings.
