Bayou Sarah Farms, Louisiana's only water buffalo farm, is partnering with Heirloom Cuisine for the first time to host a "Bayou Sarah Farms Lunch, Margaritas, and Farm Tour" event from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday, May 5.
Guests will be greeted with a margarita bar upon arrival, with a farm tour led by the owner to meet the buffalo and the chickens on the property. After, tacos will be served — made with pasture-raised chicken and grass-fed water buffalo. Tickets are $80 per person, available for purchase at bontempstix.com.

Doors open at 1 p.m. Sunday, May 5, for the Cinco de Mayo celebration at Baton Rouge Music Studios, with entertainment from Clay Parker and Jodi James and an opening set from Emily Parnell. The event will feature food from Jake's Tacos, a mini makers market and TJ Black live painting.

Modesto is hosting its fourth annual Cinco de Mayo block party, kicking off at 11 a.m. Sunday, May 5, with live music, specialty shots, an outside bar, tacos, nachos, margaritas and more. The band Night Hog will perform at 2 p.m., followed by Dustin Guidry. Modesto will not be accepting reservations Sunday — it will be a first come, first served basis.
