A woman wanted by the FBI for robbing a Baton Rouge bank last October, claiming she had a bomb in her purse, turned herself in to Baton Rouge authorities over the weekend, the FBI said.

The suspect, Jazmine Johnnie, 22, is accused of entering the Chase bank on Highland Road on Oct. 10, 2023 and demanding cash from the tellers, telling them she had a bomb in her purse and that her boyfriend had an AK-47 assault rifle, the FBI said in a news release. It was not immediately clear if the boyfriend was inside the bank with Johnnie.

Johnnie left the scene with the money in a gray Dodge Challenger.

A federal arrest warrant was issued for her in February 2024 in the U.S. Middle District Court in Baton Rouge after she was charged with bank robbery, the FBI said.
