New food and drinks on the block
Jubans, 3739 Perkins Road, Baton Rouge, is launching a new menu to commemorate the opening of the restaurant in 1983, with each meal priced at $19.83. The menu includes a marinated seafood salad with shrimp, crawfish, crab, smoked tomato, cucumber avocado and sensation dressing; filet meatloaf with house-ground filet, mashed potatoes, roasted pepper ring and mushroom demi-glace and more.
Rocca Pizzeria, 3897 Government St., Baton Rouge, announced the first course on the new summer menu: burrata and heirloom tomatoes made with Trebbiano grape reduction, pignoli, basil, lemon zest and virgin olive oil.

Jed's Local, 672 Jefferson Highway, Baton Rouge, introduced the April po-boy of the month. For every order of the pulled pork po-boy — made with slow beer-braised pork shoulder, fib barbecue sauce, cheddar cheese, coleslaw and crispy onion rings — Jed's will donate $1 to Cat Haven Baton Rouge.
